Background
A specialist by design
Bio Pharma Logistics was founded in 2007 and headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, to handle frozen plasma — a product with narrow tolerances, heavy documentation requirements, and no acceptable failure mode. The management team brought more than forty years of combined experience in frozen plasma transportation to it.
The Louisville facility has expanded with the business, most recently with a freezer addition that more than doubled our −35°C storage capacity.
Joining forces with HemaSource in 2026 completed the chain. HemaSource supplies the collection floor — consumables, automated replenishment, and the forecasting behind them; BPL carries what that floor produces through qualified storage, export preparation, and delivery to the consignee. One relationship now covers both directions at a center's dock, with HemaSource's technical and data capability behind the warehouse and transportation management systems being implemented here.
